As the doors close on MACH 2026 at the NEC in Birmingham, at DTS, we’re reflecting on a busy, rewarding experience on the stand. From build‑up through to the final afternoon, the exhibition has been a real team effort – and a great opportunity to talk to UK manufacturers about their next generation of machine tool investments.

Showcasing the Correa FOX travelling column machining centre

At the centre of our stand was the Correa FOX travelling column machining centre, drawing consistent interest from visitors working with large, complex components.

Across the week, conversations naturally gravitated towards:

● How to handle heavy, awkward or long parts efficiently and safely

● The benefits of a travelling column design for large envelope work

● Accuracy and rigidity requirements for high‑value components

● Delivery timelines based on different specifications and options

Being able to walk people around the machine, talk through real applications and answer questions in person made a real difference – especially for those planning future investments or comparing options across the halls.

A longstanding partnership with Nicolás Correa

It was a pleasure to exhibit alongside Nicolás Correa S.A., continuing a longstanding relationship that has seen Correa machines installed across a wide range of UK manufacturing environments.

For DTS, Correa is a key part of a wider portfolio of machine tool solutions. That breadth means we’re not tied to a single platform: instead, we can recommend the most appropriate solution based on each customer’s specific parts, processes and production goals. For many visitors at MACH, that flexibility, and the ability to have an honest and application‑led conversation was a real point of difference.

We were also pleased to see our partners IBARMIA at the event, underlining the strength of the wider ecosystem of suppliers focused on advanced machining solutions.

Behind the scenes: teamwork that makes MACH possible

A successful week on the stand doesn’t happen by accident. It was great to see the work of:

● The engineers who built and prepared the Correa FOX in a tight timeframe

● The stand builders who brought everything together on site

● The DTS and Correa teams who staffed the stand throughout the week

Their combined effort meant we could focus on what matters most: speaking to customers, prospects and partners about their real‑world challenges.

Our thanks also go to MTDCNC for their coverage of the stand, and to Brinksway Tool Limited for allowing us to showcase the machine before it heads to its new home.

Conversations that shaped the week

Across the five days, a few themes came up again and again in discussions on the stand:

Handling large, complex components

Visitors wanted to understand how the FOX platform, and similar solutions, can support larger workpieces without compromising on accuracy or accessibility for operators.

Delivery timelines and project planning

With many businesses working to tight investment windows, realistic lead times – and how they vary depending on specification – were a key talking point. We spent time walking through what a typical project looks like, from initial scoping through to installation.

End‑to‑end support

For most manufacturers, the machine is only part of the story. There was strong interest in our ability to provide full support, including installation, operator training and ongoing aftercare, so that teams feel confident from day one and productivity ramps up quickly.

These conversations are exactly why events like MACH remain so valuable: they allow us to move beyond brochures and spec sheets, and really explore how a solution will work in a specific factory, with a specific team and workload.

Nearly two decades at MACH

For our Managing Director, Gary, MACH 2026 is another chapter in a long history with the show. Having been involved since its inception in 2008, he’s seen the event grow and evolve alongside the wider industry – from early conversations about 5‑axis capabilities through to today’s focus on automation, digitalisation and ever‑larger, more complex components.

That continuity means visitors don’t just get product knowledge, but the benefit of long‑term perspective on how machine tool technology – and real customer requirements – have changed over time.

Looking ahead: supporting your next investment

To everyone who visited the stand – existing customers, new contacts and those starting to explore future investments – thank you for taking the time to speak with us over the week. Your questions and projects are exactly what drive our work.

If you weren’t able to attend MACH 2026, or didn’t get a chance to visit the stand, but you’re exploring similar requirements, whether that’s handling large components, upgrading capacity or planning a new machining cell, we’d be happy to talk.

We can:

● Review your current parts, volumes and processes

● Recommend the most appropriate machine tool solution from our wider portfolio

● Outline delivery timelines and project steps

● Provide full support from specification and installation through to training and aftercare

To discuss a project, get in touch with the DTS team and we’ll be glad to help.

See you at MACH 2028.
