Last week, our team headed to Burgos, Spain, to join Correa for the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the impressive Correa VERXA M 95 — a major milestone ahead of its delivery to Manthorpe Engineering in the UK.
For anyone unfamiliar, a FAT is essentially the machine’s big moment before it leaves the manufacturer. It’s where everything comes together — precision checks, performance validation, and a chance to confirm that the system performs exactly as intended under real‑world conditions. It’s a milestone that combines technical focus with a genuine sense of excitement for what’s next.
The FAT represents a critical step in any machine installation, providing both manufacturer and customer with the opportunity to rigorously assess performance before shipment. Over several days, our engineering team worked alongside Correa’s experts to run extensive checks across multiple operational parameters, confirming that the VERXA M 95 meets all the precision, safety, and efficiency requirements set out for its intended production environment.
Watching the machine glide through its operations at full capacity was a powerful reminder of how innovation and craftsmanship come together in modern manufacturing. Every test reinforced the VERXA M 95’s exceptional control, rigidity, and repeatability — qualities that will enable Manthorpe Engineering to produce complex, performance-critical components with total confidence.
Manthorpe, founded in 1978, has established itself as a trusted precision engineering partner to global manufacturers, supported by sustained investment in advanced technology and a commitment to engineering excellence. Its precision machining, high‑integrity fabrication, and bespoke engineering solutions serve complex, safety‑critical applications across the marine, power generation, and industrial engineering sectors.
Seeing the VERXA M 95 running through its paces at Correa made it clear why this machine is such a strong fit for Manthorpe’s expanding manufacturing requirements. Its design and capabilities align perfectly with the company’s continued investment in innovation and its focus on delivering engineering excellence to customers worldwide.
The trip wasn’t just about ticking boxes on a specification sheet — it was about partnership and collaboration. From specification through to testing, Correa and Manthorpe Engineering demonstrated open communication and strong alignment around shared technical objectives. These collaborative efforts brought expertise, energy, and insight to every stage, making the FAT both smooth and successful.
A big thank you to both the Correa and Manthorpe Engineering teams for their support and skill throughout this stage of the project. With the Factory Acceptance Test now complete, the VERXA M 95 will shortly begin its journey to the UK for installation and commissioning. We look forward to seeing the machine fully operational and contributing to Manthorpe’s growing capability and commitment to engineering excellence.
